Open education and the future: Cable Green on this week’s Future Trends Forum

Cable GreenTomorrow I’ll be talking about open education with Cable Green on this week’s Future Trends Forum.

Cable is the Creative Commons’ open education director.  I plan on asking him about last week’s major open education conference in Krakow, how higher education can best work with the Creative Commons project, and what futures might unfold for open edu.

You can RSVP for this Forum session by clicking here, or just click that link around 2 pm EST tomorrow.

You can also find out about the Future Trends Forum, along with notes and recordings of all past ten sessions, here.  For more information about Cable check his Twitter feed or this profile.

Last week, I posted the Forum announcement on my timeline and several highered groups with a note about its relevance to higher ed and adjunct/academic labor issues, whether or not they agreed ~ got good traffic for the post, don’t know how many actually dropped in. I’ve been collecting cost/funding links to add to your video + post about the costs forum for a double header.

This one ought to be of interest to them too but probably won’t be as much so. I sent a notice to the #openabe service course for GED design, http://designersforlearning.org/openabemooc
